Dear Jesus, I will come into your presence. Like the man on the mat, neither a full house nor a roof will stop me. (Mark 2:3-11).

Dear Jesus, I will reach out to touch you. Like the woman with the issue of blood, no throng of people will stop me. (Mark 5: 25-34; Luke 8:43-48)

Dear Jesus, I will walk to you. Like Simon Peter, neither storm nor turbulence will stop me. But unlike Peter, even when the water is not calm, I will walk through the boisterous wind and waves towards you. (Matthew 14:22-31).

Dear Jesus, I will cry out to you. Like Bartimaeus, no crowd will silence me. Neither will any stones take my place. (Mark 10:46-52; Luke 19:37-40).

Dear Jesus, I will pour my love on you. Like the woman with the alabaster box, neither disapproving looks nor wagging tongues will stop me. (Luke 7:36-50).

Dear Jesus, I will stay in your presence. No worries, troubles, passions or pleasures will distract me or drag me out. (Colossians 3:2, 1 Corinthians 7:35, Titus 3:3-5).

Dear Jesus I will ‘turn my eyes upon you and look full in Your wonderful face. And the things of Earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of Your glory and grace.’*

Dear Jesus I will do this, I have to do this, for I am desperate for You. My soul longs for You like the deer longs for flowing streams, and you Jesus are the Living water, the only one that can satisfy this longing (Psalm 42,  John 6:35). Who else shall I go to but you? You are the one who has the words of eternal life (John 6:68).

Dear Jesus, I am grateful for the incredible privilege of your presence, for the living water you graciously offer, for You. May my heart continue to burn and beat for You all the days of my life. May your name forever remain on my lips. May my life reflect yours. May my life make you smile. For it is yours, always and forever. Amen.
